Well…to start off, my name is Kristen: common name, but I don't consider myself very…common-like. Sometimes I like to be alone. As a writer, when I'm alone I can concentrate more on my writing or listening to music, etc. Whenever I'm taking part in something like listening to music or writing, I consider these to be very intimate (not sexually!) moments with my mind, and therefore I prefer to be alone.
However, recently I have discovered how much I can't stand being myself for long periods of time. As much as I love being by myself, I love being around people more. I once thought that if I didn't love God so much, humanity would be my religion. Having said these things, a lot of times when I'm around people I may be very quiet. Please do not take this to mean that I'm anti-social or don't want to talk to you. I just consider myself a very observant person, and in that sense I'll most often watch people instead of talking (although I do enjoy talking with my friends very much!).
Also, something else I should mention: I love animals. I'm not talking about your average “Omg, look at that kitten! Its so widdle and fuzzy!”
…yeah, that's not me at all. Although I may seem obsessed with animals (especially puppies, as my friends can attest to), I have this respect for animals and nature in general. The way I see it, animals cannot sin in the sense that humans can, and because of this I find them very innocent. Animals are great companions for people, and can teach us a lot about ourselves as well as the world around us. I apologize if my incessant rantings about puppies is annoying. I love them so much, and always will…however, seeing as how I'm sure not everybody shares my enthusiasm for puppies (all dogs are puppies!), I do try to keep these moments to a minimum.
I'm a very spiritual person. I'm not quite sure what religion I would fit under, or if Agnostic would work at all. I was raised as a Christian, but I have learned to embrace all religions (it's something that comes very naturally to me). I can appreciate God in all forms, and I love studying different types of religion. It truly is a fascination of mine. I consider myself a very open-minded person. I realize that everybody sins, and God is the only one who can judge us. So, I never judge people…I may have opinions, but there have been times where what I thought about someone of something has turned out to be false.
I love hugs! I cannot express that enough! If you see me on the street, or wherever, give me a hug and I'll love you forever. Hugs make me so happy, and I love giving people hugs (although I can never really tell who are the “huggy” types). But seriously, if you ever want or need a hug, do not be afraid to ask!
